Across the next five months, casual dining restaurant Axe House will release ten separate challenges in their quest to find Dubai’s manliest man, with the first challenge kicking off on Sunday June. June 8: Go on a snow hike

Join Gulf For Good and burn some calories by hiking up and down the emirate’s snowy slope at Ski Dubai on Friday June 8. It’s free to attend, you just need to email to register. Make sure you bring your hiking shoes.

Until June 14: Experience a lavish Iftar

Throughout the month of Ramadan, there are a host of stunning Iftars to experience across the city, from budget to blow out. There’s still time to get a few more in, and we’d definitely recommend checking out the extensive spread at the Armani Hotel Ballroom. You can find a hundred more here too.

From June 14: Let football fever takeover

The biggest football event on the planet is back on June 15. This time in Russia, there’s stacks of Dubai venues who will be showing every minute of the Fifa World Cup 2018 action- whichever team you’re cheering for. Mid June: Escape the city for a long weekend

We still don’t know if there will be a long weekend for Eid this year, but even if there isn’t, we’re dreaming of long weekends away. It’s one of the UAE’s oldest running events, and the Dubai Desert Run is back on Saturday June 16 for the summer scorcher. There are both 10km and 3km routes to test your legs on, on private, traffic-free roads.

June TBC: Party at the opening of a new nightclub

 The next piece in the Soho Garden puzzle, Toyroom is opening imminently in the indoor section of the Meydan super complex. The London concept initially arrived in Dubai in 2015, taking up residency in the Al Murooj Rotana, but it closed its doors at the end of 2017. It’s expected to open towards the end of the month.

June 20: See two piano stars at Dubai Opera

Dubai Opera is set to host Croatian stars Bruno Vlahek and Dubravka Vukalovic on Wednesday June 20 as their season of live entertainment kickstarts again. The European duo are known for playing one piano at the same time.

From June 22: Bag a bargain with Dubai Summer Surprises

Credit cards at the ready, Dubai’s annual shopping festival returns on June 22, and it’s bringing six weeks of epic sales to the city’s malls. Running until August 4, expect great deals on a whole range of products, as well as giveaways and weekly flash sales.

June 29 and 30: Cool off with the season closing of a luxury beach club

Enjoy one last splash before summer hits at Nikki Beach Dubai as they host their season closing pool party ahead of shutting their doors for the two scorching summer months. The beach club will open up at 11am until 8pm on both Friday and Saturday for a fun-filled pool party featuring beats from Nikki Beach Resident DJs and artists.
