Breakfast buffets, new ladies’ nights, dinner deals and World Cup fever…

Welcome to a brand new week in Dubai, and with the World Cup firmly underway, all eyes are on the game. But if you’re taking a break from the World Cup fever, or (whisper it) just not really a football fan, there’s plenty of dinner deals, ladies’ nights and art exhibitions to keep you occupied.

Here’s eight things to do in Dubai this week.

Sunday June 24

1. Catch the football action from a super-sized fan zone

The World Cup is well underway, and it’s another big day for England fans as their team takes on Panama. Kick off is at 4pm, and if you’re looking for a super-sized fan zone to watch from, the Fan Zone in the grounds in the Habtoor Grand is a great option. The 800 capacity venue features games on a 24-metre square LED screen with two three-metre by three-metre projector screens and 20 individual plasma screens inside.

Habtoor Grand, Dubai Marina, England vs Panama, Sunday June 24, kick off at 4pm. Tel: (04) 399 5000. More info on website
