The Spanish crooner will make his return to Dubai for two gigs this October…

There’s still plenty of exciting events to look forward to at Dubai Opera this year, including swing band The Definitive Rat Pack, award-winning musical Ghost and iconic ballet Swan Lake, and a new gig has just been added to the bill.

As part of his 50th anniversary tour, Spanish crooner and celebrated Latin artist Julio Iglesias will perform two concerts at Dubai Opera this October 1 and 2.

Widely regarded as one of the most successful European artists in history, Iglesias’ career began in the late 1960’s. Over the last fifty years he has sold more than 300 million records, produced 82 albums and recorded hits in more than 12 languages.

But it’s not only his solo work Iglesias is famous for. Over his extensive career, Iglesias recorded with stars including Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Willie Nelson, Sting and Dolly Parton.

It isn’t the first time Julio Iglesias has performed in Dubai. He was last here back in 2013, when he performed at Dubai World Trade Center as part of the “World Legends” concert series.

Dubai was more recently visited by Julio’s son, popular pop star Enrique Iglesias, who stole the show at the 2017 Dubai Jazz Festival.

The Julio Iglesias concert is currently being advertised on the hitmakers official website, with tickets expected to go on sale on the Dubai Opera site soon.

Dubai Opera, Downtown Dubai, Monday October 1 and Tuesday October 2, tickets on sale soon.
