The new burger joint: L’Artisan du Burger

Die-hard burger fans will have to check out this new restaurant which has opened in The Dubai Mall. French brand L’Artisan du Burger is one of the first burger joints to have been featured in the Michelin Guide. Don’t expect your usual slapdash creations – these burgers are handcrafted using the finest meats and cheeses, while buns are freshly baked using a bespoke dough blend that is imported from Paris. The new restobar: Nara Pan Asian

JLT officially has a new local: Nara Pan Asian. Residents might recall this spot used to be known as Spice & Ice, but it’s rebranded and is now serving up a menu of Japanese, Chinese and Thai. With quirky interiors featuring Japanese graffiti art and Insta-worthy cherry blossom trees, it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. They’re set to host a Thursday evening brunch, Friday brunch, and Wednesday ladies’ night. They’re also kicking things off with an eight-hour happy hour from noon to 8pm Saturday to Thursday, offering two-for-one on all house drinks.

The Friday feast: Fogo de Chao

Friday, September 7 is Brazilian Independence Day, and steakhouse Fogo de Chao is getting the party started. The festivities kick off with their Fogo Churrasco Brazilian Brunch Experience from noon to 4pm, which includes unlimited cuts of premium meat and beverages. After brunch, they’ll turn things up a notch with their Brazilian House Party from 4pm to 8pm, with two-for-one on drinks. Bring a green lime with you, and they’ll give you a complimentary Caipirinha cocktail or mocktail.
