The stunning super sized outdoor nightlife venue is set to open its doors this winter…

Dubai is home to some top nightlife exports from around the world, as well as some epic home-grown concepts. And now one more is set to join those ranks, as Lebanon’s iconic Skybar is opening in Dubai.

The famous outdoor Beirut nightclub will be called Sky 2.0 in Dubai, and will open its doors in Dubai Design District this winter. Although an exact timeline has not yet been given, the brand is already recruiting for staff, from dancers and brand ambassadors to reservations agents and waiters.

Located opposite super club Base in d3, its Lebanese counterpart can house up to 2,500 guests, so we’re expecting a similar super-sized venue when Sky2.0 arrives in Dubai in a few months.

Currently, no renders have been released of the new nightspot, which will serve as both a restaurant and nightclub. However, judging by Skybar Beirut, we’re expecting high-spec light and sound from the huge outdoor clubbing experience.

What about music? Well, Skybar Beirut has welcomed everyone from Nicole Scherzinger to Tinie Tempah, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg, so we can imagine Sky2.0 becoming one of the city’s top haunts for celeb spotting too.

Skybar Beirut first opened in 2003 as one of the regions first outdoor restaurant-club, and became the Lebanese capital’s go-to party spot.  It moved in 2007 to the rooftop of Beil in 2009 the same year it was ranked among the world’s best bars. The nightspot was forced to close after a fire in 2015, reopening its doors last year.

Stay tuned…
