The hotel features three signature restaurants by British celebrity chef Tom Aikens.

The new Abu Dhabi Edition hotel at Al Bateen Marina is set to open its doors on November 1.

The hotel is the Edition brand’s first in the Middle East. Designed by boutique hotel pioneer Ian Schrager, the waterfront property features 198 guest rooms and suites, and 57 residences.

Foodies will be able to enjoy the hotel’s three signature restaurants created by British celebrity chef Tom Aikens (who also has a restaurant in Dubai – Pots, Pans & Boards). Just off the lobby is Market at Edition, a healthy lifestyle restaurant with an open kitchen which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Signature British dishes will be showcased at Oak Room, a traditional English oak-panelled restaurant. This steak house will feature a frosted glass-fronted butchery, so diners can be assured the produce is fresh.

Opposite the entrance to Oak Room is the Library Bar, a craft gin-led cocktail bar. This space features a bespoke gin trolley for tableside cocktail creation, and will host weekly live music events.

On the Marina side of the hotel is a Mediterranean-style restaurant, Alba Terrace, which will offer light lunches and sharing plates, as well as locally-sourced coffee. The outdoor terrace will also have an aperitif bar, and will host wine tasting evenings.

The hotel will also have a three-floor social space, ANNEX, which is set to open in late 2018. The top floor will have a rooftop bar, while the floor below will be known as the “den”, where you can play games of pool or pinball. The ground floor will play host to live DJs, with an experimental cocktail bar. Peruvian-inspired dishes will be available to order across all three floors.

Edition Spa will also open later this year, and will consist of seven treatments rooms including two hammams, a facial room and couple’s treatment suite. The women’s area will contain a beauty salon and relaxation lounge, while the men’s area will feature a Chaps & Co barbershop.

Opening rates for the hotel start from Dhs750 per night, including breakfast. The hotel is set to hold its official launch on November 21.
