It’s Dubai’s favourite Friday feast: brunch means all-you-can-eat food, bottomless beverage and, of course, a good time. And now the brunch institution has gone nocturnal, with an evening brunch happening in Dubai each and every day of the week to satisfy even the most dedicated brunch fans.

And yes, we do know that evening brunches are technically just dinners, but most people still for some reason call it brunch: it’s just one of those quirks of Dubai life.

Daily: Evening brunch at Publique

Publique, the Alpine-themed restaurant in the Madinat Jumeirah, has just launched a new evening brunch that will take place every night of the week. The new brunch goes from 8pm to 11pm, and costs Dhs295 for a minimum booking of six guests. A selection of starters will be served directly to the table, each guest can then choose a main of their choice, including cheese raclette to share, and wash it down with unlimited house beverages.

Daily: Frevo

There’s nothing like a churrascaria. Frevo’s version whips you off to a beach in Rio without you having to leave your table. Sample succulent fall-off-the-skewer meats served tableside the traditional way. Want to know the best thing? It happens every day.

Sunday: The Midnight Brunch Dinner Show at Cavalli

Perfect for those that love an evening of glitz and glamour (and being out late on a Sunday), Cavalli’s Sunday night brunch involves live singing and dancing, unlimited starters and desserts, a choice of a la carte main and a polarising “no effort, no entry” policy (basically they mean you need to dress up to get in). The party carries on until 3am too.

Sunday: Positano

Sample a feats of Italy at the Festa Italiana brunch. Tables are piled high with antipasti, handmade past and specialties from the Italian coast. There’s also an impressive dessert room, so you might just want to take your chair in there and be done with it. You’ll find pannacotta, gelato, cassata and other delicious sweet treats too.

Monday: Ramusake

Priced at Dhs250 per person, Ramusake’s new Monday night dinner party treats guests to unlimited sushi rolls as well as unlimited sake for three hours kicking off at 7pm until 10pm. On the menu, there’s a range of sushi dishes, from the crab-based California and Spider rolls, to spicy tuna and seared salmon.

Monday: Shades of Play at Play

Indulge in a feast of Mediterranean fare paired with your favourite drinks in an upbeat setting that’s ideal for making the week feel shorter than it really is. The Monday Mediterranean Mingle happens from 7pm to 11pm, Dhs169 gets you food and soft drinks, and Dhs229 includes house drinks.

Wednesday: Billionaire Mansion

Wednesday’s ‘La Dolce Vita’ dinner party is the latest offering from Billionaire Mansion. The upscale dinner party promises live entertainment, signature drinks a glamourous crowd and some top dishes spearheaded by local hero chef Reif Othman.

Wednesday: STK

At STK Downtown, located in the recently reopened Address Downtown, a Wednesday evening brunch runs from 9pm to 12am, with an after party running until the early hours. Called the Backroom Brunch, it’s filled with signature STK dishes such as beef tartare alongside some more Dubai dishes like oysters and Burrata to start, followed by a choice of fillet or striploin stake for main (there’s veggie options too) with their famed mac n cheese and a choice of dessert.

Wednesday: Lucky Voice

At this midweek evening brunch, there’s unlimited food and drinks on offer, an open-mic stlye sing-a-long where guests can take to the stage all night long. Even the karaoke shy will find themselves belting out a few tunes on the inflatable microphones.

Wednesday: Solo

Solo For The Soul sees pop soul singer Nya Crea performing every Wednesday. Serving freshly made Italian favourites in a sharing menu that includes antipasti dishes, and mains such as the slow-cooked veal cheek with truffle mashed potato fondue or pasta served tableside in a Parmesan wheel, this is one hearty meal. No Italian meal is complete without dessert though, and we recommend the creamy panacotta with Amarena sour cherries and strawberry sorbet.

Wednesday: Asian Invasion at Miss Tess

The Miss Tess night brunch is themed around Asian street food markets, and promises to be a lively mid-week hangout. At 8pm, the meal deal kicks off: for Dhs288 you’ll get to scoff on plenty of food and sip on house drinks until 11pm (the ‘night brunch’ costs Dhs228 with soft drinks). Vibe-wise, expect lots of fun. The service here comes with a side of performance and a DJ ensures that the energy stays amped up throughout the night so plan on staying out late…

Thursday: Brasserie 2.0

This Texan-inspired BBQ brunch serves succulent steaks and ocean-fresh seafood from ten live cooking stations. There are also mixed drinks and live entertainment, making this a great choice from which to kickstart the weekend. Plus there’s cowboys, a smoking grill and even a popcorn machine.

Rooftop hotspot Mercury Lounge has both a food only or food and drink option at their Thursday evening brunch. Expect an upscale affair at this swanky rooftop bar, as well as pretty great views of Dubai too. The brunch offers a selection of antipasti, sharing plates and light entrées for grazing through the evening. It’s Dhs350 for food only or Dhs495 including wine and beer.

Thursday: Stage at Jazz Pizza Express

Love Parties, the party people behind the sellout Friday brunches We Brunch and Hidden, are back with a brand new brunch, and this one is on a Thursday. There’s drinks for Dhs30 from 4pm to 8pm, before the brunch packages kicks in at 8pm. Expect a typical feast of Pizza Express pizzas and sides, served up to acoustic sets. Afterwards, it’s five drinks for Dhs150.

Thursday: Supper Club at Bar Rumba

Bar Rumba, now hosts a weekly Chino Latino inspired Supper Club every Thursday. Dishes such as sushi, adobe chicken with avocado purée, glazed sweet potato and crispy calamari are served to the table, paired with wines, beers and spirits. It kicks off at 9pm, with food served until 11pm and drinks until 1am.

Thursday: Besh Turkish Kitchen

On Thursday, explore market stalls and dig into hot and cold mezze at the Evening Grillevent. Thursday: Helter Skelter at Zero Gravity

Zero Gravity’s all-inclusive fairground of fun runs al fresco every Thursday night. As well as a host of food and beverage stations, there’s ping pong, air hockey, giant Jenga, Connect 4 and classic video arcade games. Food-wise, expect the same spread as the Saturday brunch – shellfish, sliders, and live-cooking stations. It’s a great one for mingling with your mates, and the afterparty kicks off from midnight until 3am, with free entry for all.

End your week Mexican style with Local’s Thursday Fiesta drunch. An evening brunch serving up free-flowing themed beverages with entertaining live cooking stations, expect to tuck into your favourite Mexican dishes from enchiladas to quesadillas.

The Smoke and Mirrors Night Brunch is known for its laid-back vibe, whether it’s outside on the pub-style benches or inside next to the food, which – let’s face it – is probably the best place to be. Enjoy pub games, live cooking, a roast carving station, sushi, pizza and dessert – including an ice-cream machine you can use yourself. You’ll want to wear stretchy pants for this one.

Friday: Wok n Roll brunch at Mr Miyagi’s

Mr Miyagi’s, the Asian hotspot in Media City, is now running two servings of its lively ‘Wok and Roll’ brunch every Friday. It’s a three hour package of five courses of Asian dishes, which also includes a help yourself sushi station. The stars of the show are Mr Miyagi’s live singers – who get crowds going early with their pass-around karaoke of cheesy hits.
