The Los Angeles export opened its first Dubai venue this week.

Dubai’s royals can often be seen supporting the city’s eateries, and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has just given a hip new cafe the royal seal of approval.

The vice president of the UAE and ruler of Dubai was snapped at Urth Caffe this week, which has just opened in City Walk.

The Los Angeles export, which also has venues in Saudi Arabia and Japan, is considered one of the top organic heirloom coffee roasters in the US. The brand uses all-natural ingredients across its lines of chemical-free coffees and teas.

“We take great pride in the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rahsid Al Maktoum, The Ruler of Dubai, during the very first week of Urth Caffe’s opening in City Walk,” the cafe said in a post on Instagram.

What can you expect to find on the menu at Urth Caffe? Plenty of health-conscious yet tasty creations, such as matcha pancakes, wild mushroom pizza baked in the in-house wood-fire pizza oven, and even vegan chocolate cake. As well as the delicious-looking heirloom coffees, we also spied some bubble tea on the menu (yum)…

Urth Caffe, City Walk, now open, daily 8am to midnight. Tel: (04) 589 7413. @urthcaffedubai
