All Latin cuisines are covered at this family-friendly foodie feast…

All-day dining restaurant Anise in the Intercontinental Festival City is aiming to transport guests to South America every Friday with the launch of its new Fiesta Latina brunch.

And when we roll up at 1pm on a Friday to check it out, that’s apparent before you’ve even entered the door. Interactive touches begin from arrival, where a pop-up backdrop encourages guests to don sombreros and feather boas and pose for pictures ahead of brunch kicking off.

Once inside, you’re faced with an array of live cooking stations and buffet options which take a flight through South America, featuring a Mexican station, ceviche bar, Peruvian station, Cuban station and an Argentinian station amongst others.

There’s a mix of dishes you can help yourself to, as well as stations where chefs will prepare dishes hot for you and bring them your table (the Argentinian steak is a must-try). Between it all, a whole cooked goat takes centre stage and although it’s not our favourite meat, it’s a great excuse to give it a go.

Everything is freshly prepared, tasty and well seasoned, and it’s a big operation to ensure every station is consistently topped up.

On the drinks menu, you’ll find a wide variety of beverages which includes themed cocktails, wines, beers and spirits which are both typical of brunch as well as some more themed options such as a coffee liqueur.

Live entertainment switches between a live band and Latina-style dancers who interact with guests, ensuring little ones hit the dance floor by the second set. Both sets of performers roam around the venue, ensuring all brunch goers feel fully involved in the entertainment.
