From tree lightings to markets, here’s where to get in the Christmas spirit…

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Abu Dhabi. And if you want to know where to go to soak up the festive vibes, we can help you out. Here are 3 festive events to check out in the capital this weekend.

1. Tree lighting ceremony on Al Maryah Island

The Galleria on Al Maryah Island is hosting a grand tree lighting ceremony on Thursday, December 13 at 6pm, that will take place along its Waterfront Promenade. The area will be a hub of festive fun until December 26, with cosy winter cottages, a sliding slope park, snow zone, immersive snow globe, and train rides for the little ones. There will also be daily live performances, games and workshops, including princess meet & greets, penguin parades, cookie decorating and make-your-own snowglobe classes.
