Who knew these two were friends?!

Dubai is rarely short of celebrity visitors, as the playground of choice for many A-list stars for both work and play. And this week has been no exception, with the arrival of footballing legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who’s certainly been making the most of his time here.

As well as enjoying a helicopter ride and taking a yacht out to the Burj Al Arab on New Year’s Eve, the Juventus striker has spent time catching up with none other than Sheikh Hamdan, with the Crown Prince taking to Instagram to share tribute to the football star.

‘A great player and a greater friend’, Sheikh Hamdan captioned the post.

How we’d love to be a fly on the wall when these two catch up…

Ronaldo is just one of a number of stars who saw in the new year in the UAE. Former footballer Rio Ferdinand has also been spied taking selfies with the Burj Al Arab as he rung in 2019, as has boxer Anthony Joshua, with both taking to social media to share their Dubai trip with their followers.
