The end of the month is here, and if you’re looking to have some fun without spending a dirham in the week before payday, we’ve got you covered.

Whether it’s a pop-up music festival, free escape game or yoga class, we’ve rounded up some brilliant free things to do across the city.

The Dubai Food Festival is back in all its foodie glory, and the festival’s flagship event, Beach Canteen, has returned with a brand new look and design to Sunset Beach. Found behind Sunset Mall, this time around it’s filled with new food concepts, entertainment and a dedicated family area. The free-to-attend event makes for a great family day out, with pop-up food stalls from around the world, a dedicated kids’ zone, cooking workshops and live cooking sessions at the beachside theatre.

See a free film

Brought to you in partnership with Alserkal Avenue and Gulf Photo Plus, head down to The Yard at Alserkal Avenue on Tuesday February 26 for a free screening of ‘Instant Dreams’ (2017) by Willem Baptist – based on a a group of scientists who try to unravel the chemical formula and secret of Polaroid photography, keeping the instant dream alive. It’s an outdoor screening, with seats given on a first come, first serve policy.

Head to a ladies’ night

The brand-new Tuesday ladies’ night at Wavehouse offers three free house beverages, frozen cocktails or wine from 7pm to 1am. The night also includes complimentary Dhs100 worth of credit for LEVELS gaming, 50 per cent discount at the bowling alley, and a ride on the wave machine.

Find your zen with free yoga

Inspire Yoga and Pilates are hosting free, one-hour yoga sessions for non-members every weekend throughout March. The Sheikh Zayed road yoga studio will offer Hatha yoga classes at 1pm on Fridays and 3pm on Saturdays, and while classes are free to attend, you must sign up beforehand and bring your own mat along too.

Listen to some live music

Bluewaters is hosting a Street Music Festival with complimentary workshops every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until March 2nd. Catch live performances by popular local and international artists across the jazz, rock, urban, and retro genres. Also take part in open mic nights, guitar lessons, hip hop beat classes and much more.

Solve riddles at a new club night

There’s a brand new escape game meets club night to check out this weekend, and it’s free to attend. Taking place at Media One Hotel’s On42 from February 28, and take your pick from one of four doors available. Each door leads to a different themed challenge room that will task you and your friends to solve a range of unique puzzles and clues. The tasks in question will be associated with attention, memory, and problem solving. Once you’ve completed all the puzzles and tasks set out for your team, you will gain access to the final element of the experience… a party! The pop-up activation launches on February 28 and will run for a limited period of only four weeks every Thursday and Friday. Entry is free but the challenge is only for adults 21 years and above, with drinks charged separately.
