Cheese aficionados, this brie-lliant event is one you shouldn’t miss…

If you’re a devout fromage fan and love some crackin’ cheese then we have good news for you – a mega cheese festival is making its way to Dubai this week.

It will be largest cheese event of its kind in the Middle East.

In ‘queso’ you’re interested, this ‘grate’ cheese fest (okay, we’ll stop now) will take place on Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23 at the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina with thanks to Sopexa Middle East.

Guests will be able to savour a variety of cheeses from around the world, served by a line-up of only the most prestigious and acclaimed producers.

They will be joined by sommeliers, chefs and cheese experts who are all prepared to wow even the most knowledgeable cheese lover.

The event will host dozens of exhibitor booths that will hold demos and cooking sessions, where visitors can indulge in traditional cheese-based dishes from Latin America, Italy, Eastern Europe, Greece, India and the Middle East amongst others.

You will also discover cheeses from as far away as New Zealand.

So while everyone has a personal favourite when it comes to cheese, this event will broaden the horizon and, who knows… you may just leave the event with a whole new cheese preference.

The cheese feasting begins at 7pm until midnight on Friday and 12pm until 10pm on the Saturday, giving cheese lovers heaps of time to experience cheeses from around the world.

Some of the highlights from the event will include cheese expert, Mark Todd aka ‘The Cheese Dude’, who has over 30 years of knowledge in this industry, showcasing a wide range of US cheeses highlighting their impressive flavours and unusual textures.

The House of Cheese, by the Cheeses of Europe will feature a mouthwatering display of French cheeses presented by cheese experts who will demonstrate how their unique cheeses can be eaten anytime, anywhere, anyhow!

Guests will also have the chance to meet some local cheese sellers and attend workshops to learn more about how these  products are produced.

Parents, if the cheese won’t keep your kids entertained, you can still bring them along to the dedicated kids’ corner and CheeseArt drawing area.

Best bit of it all, it’s free to enter.
