A pop-up bar, plenty of activities and a flying yacht…

The 27th edition of the annual Dubai International Boat Show returns to the Dubai Canal from Tuesday February 26 to Saturday March 2. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever, with boats of all shapes and sizes, water sports, entertainment and more.

Here are 5 things to check out while you’re there:

1. Try out a fun water sport

Kids and adults can enjoy the different activities on offer at the Watersports Village, including stand-up paddle boarding, underwater scooter rides, kayaking and more. Certified divers are also granted complimentary access to the Boat Show.

2. Put your dancing shoes on

Back this year by popular demand, Nikki Beach, will be hosting a daily pop-up bar between 3pm and 10pm for over 21s ,complete with a sunset set from their live DJ. The lounge access is complimentary with your International Boat Show ticket and there will be a selection of Mediterranean bites on offer.

3. Check out some seriously impressive boats

While there’s going to be boats of all sizes (and budgets) at the show, it’s the world’s first “flying yacht” that we’re excited to see. The Foiler uses retractable foils to lift itself out of the water and give its passengers a sensation of flight, thus avoiding sea-sickness.

4. Explore the Dive MENA Expo

With talks from exploring The Art of Underwater Photography to panels focused on diving in the Pacific Ocean or the Philippines, this expo is a diver’s dream. See the full schedule on their website.

5. Snap a selfie with a supercar

Returning again this year will be the Supercar Promenade, where visitors will have the chance to check out some of the world’s top luxury vehicles.
