Here are nine new Friday brunches to try in Dubai.


The alfresco terrace at folly is one of Madinat Jumeirah’s prettiest spots, and it’s now the home of a new Friday brunch. From 1.30pm to 4.30pm, guests can tuck into a sharing style European-themed feast of Nick and Scott’s best-loved dishes such as lamb saddle with whipped pine nuts and salsa; crispy hen’s egg with pancetta and the sirloin of beef. Top it off with a sweet finish and spoil yourself with the dessert sharing board. Hang around after brunch and enjoy the signature folly pop with their happy hour deal until 8pm and beats spun by the DJ.

The Loft at Dubai Opera

For a lavish brunch with a brilliant view, check out the new Caviar Brunch at The Loft at Dubai Opera. Taking place on the terrace of the new Dubai Opera restaurant, guests can expect a feast of interactive cooking stations like the oyster counter, barbecue counter, pasta & risotto counter – and of course a caviar bar. It’s all washed down with free flowing beverages, mixed drinks and bubbly spun to the sounds of a resident DJ and live sax.

Flair No.5

The not-so-secret Secret Garden Brunch is the new party brunch that’s got the whole city talking. Running from 1pm to 5pm every Friday at DIFC’s Flair No.5, it’s a four-hour package of sharing dishes brought to the table – all of which you can order more of. Wash it down with drinks from an array of pop-up bars around the garden, offering everything from Aperol spritz to Old Fashioned, and a mix of toe-tapping hits spun by resident DJs.

Toro Toro

The south-American inspired Toro Toro has launched a new Friday brunch which kicks off at the civilised time of 3pm. Guests can enjoy three hours of unlimited starters, mains and desserts accompanied by a free flowing of beverages from 3pm to 6pm, with a happy hour taking over from 6pm offering selected drinks for Dhs30. On the menu, expect smoked guac, tuna tataki and wild mushroom flatbread, followed by Argentinean steaks and chaufa rice with chicken. It’s washed down with beverages from the three dedicated drinks stations where you can mix your own Sangria, infuse spirit-based beverages with spices and syrups and enjoy the signature Caipirinha to the backdrop of Toro Toro’s DJ Pedro.

Hakkasan Brunch

Already established as a leading destination for modern Cantonese cuisine in the city, Brunch at Hakkasan, features signature favourites every Friday with free flowing drinks from Dhs328. It will kick off with a welcome cocktail, followed by dim sum dishes designed to share, then the Hakkasan signature Peking duck as well as the celebrated crispy duck salad and stir-fried vegetable and pine-nut lettuce wraps. Guests can then choose one main course from the brunch menu, which features a number of house favourites including the wok-fried beef rib eye with chilli and cashew nuts, the black cod with XO sauce or the wok-seared tiger prawns served with lemongrass and chilli. The dining experience will end with the chef’s selection of desserts.

Aristokrasi brunch at miX

miX Dubai by Alain Ducasse has introduced a brand new brunch to the Palm Jumeirah every Friday. Spread over three floors, the restaurant boasts introduces unparalleled views of the sea and Palm Jumeirah. Described as a luxury new brunch, guests can feast on a buffet of lavish signature dishes which include lamb shoulder, chicken confit and lobster, accompanied by some plated dishes served to the table. It’s all washed down with an array of premium drinks served up from live cooking stations.

Palm Sugar at W Dubai – The Palm

Palm Sugar is a four-hour brunch located the Wet Deck of W Dubai, which includes pool access and a sun lounger as well as unlimited bites and beverages. The buffet stretches along the length of the poolside and features stations of lamb chops, beef brisket, colourful burgers, tender ribs and super-stretched hot dogs paired with charred avocado and sticks of corn on the cob as refreshing side dishes.

OSH’s brunch overlooks La Mer’s bustling beach from the comfort of a spacious open terrace on the top floor. The Uyghurs cuisine concept features a mix of sako tuna, beef tataki, salmon poke, seared octopus with fresh guac, a sweet & sour red snapper and the chicken shashlik. Deep house and tech tunes are provided by DJ Diana Montana followed by the OSH after-party with their resident DJ Jeane.
