Take note if you’re planning a pool day this weekend…

The UAE’s National Centre of Meterology (NCM) has warned that it could be a rainy start to the weekend as we make our way into March.

After an evening of showers on Monday February 25, it was a cloudy and slightly cooler morning on Tuesday February 26. Into the day, it’s set to be another partly cloudy day, with highs of 24 and lows of a chilly 13 degrees across costal areas, with highs of 26 and lows of 12 across internal areas of the UAE.

Overnight, lows reached a cool 6.2 degrees at Jais mountain, with lows of 14.6 recorded in Dubai.

Wednesday looks to be the best day of the week, with an increase in temperatures and partly cloudy skies making for a pleasant day, before Thursday brings the start of the bad weather.

Thursday February 28 will see the arrival of a chance of rain over the costal areas as cloud formation becomes heavier. The sea across the Arabian Gulf and Oman sea is also expected to be quite rough at times, so plan accordingly.

And what about the weekend? Well sadly, it’s looking like another uncertain weather weekend. On Friday, the NMC advises that it’s going to be a generally cloudy day, with rainfall over scattered areas that could see some thundery showers, especially over the North and Eastern areas. We can expect rough seas too, with winds blowing up to 60 km/h.

On Saturday, it’s set to be a more stable but cloudy day, with a significant drop in temperatures, so be sure to wrap up warm if you’re heading out early morning, or late at night.
