JBR’s beachside Greek restaurant got the royal seal of approval from Dubai’s Crown Prince…

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai is no stranger to Dubai’s restaurant scene. The prince is often spotted dining around the city, most recently at new DIFC hotspot, Avli by Tashas.

But his latest visit was to another Greek restaurant, this time in the Rixos Premium JBR and it’s beachside restaurant, Ammos.

Ammos said ‘it was a great honour’ to have been visited by Dubai’s Crown Prince, as they took to Instagram to share a picture of Sheikh Hamdan with their head chef and restaurant manager.

While we’re not sure what Sheikh Hamdan had for lunch while he was at Ammos, he was pictured dining with 12 other members of his team, who had a wide spread of dishes on the table in front of them.

The restaurant offers a wide selection of authentic Greek dishes from fresh seafood including oysters, to homemade tzatziki and moussaka. It’s washed whites and light blue interiors provide a summery Mediterranean vibe reminiscent of the Santorini shores.

Ammos Greek, Rixos Premium JBR, lunch noon to 5.30pm, dinner 7pm to 11.30pm, daily. Tel: (052) 777 9473. ammosgreek.com
