The midnight meal that comes alive over Ramadan…

Everyone who lives in Dubai should try a Suhoor at least once – officially the pre-dawn meal consumed by fasters just before the sun appears, the term also means the gatherings that are held across the UAE from about 9pm over Ramadan.

This is a time to meet with friends, family and business connections and talk about the year that was (and the year ahead). So, whether you’re a Suhoor regular or you just want to witness the UAE tradition from an anthropological perspective, here are 13 Suhoors to try in the city…

Four Seasons Resort Dubai

During suhoor, guests can select dishes from an Arabic a la carte menu and enjoy being served right to their table. Surprise dishes include the kishek manakish served piping hot from the stone pizza oven. Shisha is available.

Gia

This wonderful Italian restaurant in the fancy section of Dubai Mall is serving a special suhoor menu this Holy Month featuring a selection of brand new dishes.
