From HIIT on water to a high powered cycle class….

Exercise doesn’t have to be all gym-based and pounding the pavements, and these days fitness is a huge movement with something to suit everyone, from fitness fanatics to beginners.

Whether you’re looking to mix up your fitness routine or start a whole new one, we’ve rounded up some of the hottest new fitness classes in Dubai to try.

1. Cycle through the streets of Brazil

Power Cycle arrives in JLT all the way from Brazil. Priding itself on its sense of soul and a family-feel, the interactive classes will make you feel like you’re cycling through Brazil or Greece, with a number of different music tracks to get you in the mood. They don’t just offer spin classes either, you can choose from strength training, yoga and Tacfit too. You’ll have a fitness test when you start which is measured through your classes so you can see your fitness improving week on week – incentive at its finest. 2. Balance your body on the water

Designed by professional dancer and pilates teacher, Sophie Malpass, SUP Fit is a boutique concept that’s now in two locations in Dubai; Drift Beach and Fairmont The Palm. You’ll learn core techniques whilst trying to balance on the board – something that will guarantee you some serious toning once you get the hang of it. Classes are held at the beautiful Drift Beach every Wednesday and Saturday 8am to 8.40am and 9am to 9.40am. From Fairmont the Palm, she does a Yoga/Pilates class on a Tuesday and a HIIT class on a Thursday from 10am to 11am.

3. Switch up your yoga routine

If you’re looking to change or step up your usual yoga routine then you should definitely check out Bukoden Yoga, which combines yoga, martial arts and  calisthenics. The classes are designed to workout every muscle in the body whilst connecting between body, mind and spirit. You’ll find these classes at Fly High Fitness as well as other classes ranging from jiu jitsu, crossfit, gymnastics and animal flow.

4. Push your limits

Dedicated to serious transformation overhauls, Bare DXB is a nutrition-focused transformative centre famous for its extreme fitness performance and fat-loss results. Located in Business Bay, the high-intensity, results-driven classes combine HIIT and weight training with party tunes to drive your determination even further. 5. Pump up the adrenaline

XFit at Fitness First takes a fit-box approach, with their BoxX class which uses interval training for a fast hard burn and blood pumping workout. You’ll walk away with your endorphins buzzing and a clear focus for the day. XFit also offer a range of classes for lifting and high intensity conditioning, so you can change it up during the week.
