Now that’s an invitation…

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai was married alongside two of his brothers in a private ceremony in Dubai last week, and now photos have emerged on social media of what the rather lavish – and delicious – wedding invitation looked like.

In a series of photos posted to Instagram by Mama Noora, the royal family’s long-serving governess and family friend, fans can see just what the invitation looked like.

The lavish invite to the signing of the marriage contract included a large box, with the details of the ceremony embroidered Arabic inside the top of the box in gold.

Inside the invitation box was a gold dish of Halwa, which is a traditional Gulf sweet made of cardamom, ghee, saffron and sugar topped with crisp nuts, usually served with coffee.

Mama Noora has since shared an image of her with the three recently married brothers to Instagram, wishing the brothers happiness and blessings.
