Careem to offer free Wi-Fi to all passengers from July
They’re also offering 50 percent discount on two rides to and from DXB airport until July 6…
Low on mobile data? Not an issue if you’re a Careem rider, as from next month, all passengers will be able to access free Wi-Fi on every Careem ride you take.
No date for the Wi-Fi roll out has been given, but it will be sometime mid-July, according to Careem. To take advantage of the complimentary internet, all you’ll have to do is log in with your mobile phone number and a disposable password then sit back and enjoy unlimited data.
The deal is in partnership with the UAE’s biggest telecoms provider, Etisalat and media tech company Snapit Digital.
“This agreement is another vital step forward in making Careem one of the safest and trusted online platforms in the region,” Adib Samara, head of business development at Careem, said.
The ride-hailing app are also giving passengers a 50 percent discount on fares to and from the airport until July 6, so if you’re flying off in the next week or so, be sure to add the discount code BUHBYE to your account.
The deal comes hot off the heels of rival company Uber launching its campaign to offer free rides to passengers booked on selected tickets to and from DXB airport this summer.
Free Wi-Fi has been implemented in Abu Dhabi taxi firm TransAD since 2016, and is being rolled out across 10,800 taxis in Dubai with telecom provider, du.
