Thursday July 18

1. Be among the first to see The Lion King

The ‘live action’ version of The Lion King is one of the most anticipated Disney remakes of all time, and it lands in cinemas on July 18 across the UAE. For those of you who haven’t seen the 1994 Disney animated film – the story follows young lion cub, Simba who is next in line for the throne after his father, Mufasa. After the murder of Mufasa by Simba’s jealous and throne hungry Uncle Scar the young lion prince flees his kingdom, only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery.

2. Party hard with an American rapper

Willie Maxwell II, better known as Fetty Wap will be performing on Thursday July 18 and Saturday July 20 at Al Habtoor City superclub, BOA as part of their epic summer line-up. Best known for his debut single Trap Queen Fetty is no stranger to Dubai, having played here multiple times last year. Entrance is free, and ladies can also take advantage of some brilliant ladies’ night deals at the luxe club. Two more mystery acts will also soon be announced.

3. Check out a new night at a sleek lounge

Not yet been to the part lounge, part club at Emerald Palace, Skorpeus? Then head down from 9pm this Thursday for the launch of their new R&B, soul and hip hop night. Guests can expect live R&B & Soul hits from BRU FAVE.

4. Pamper yourself with a Hollywood Facial for less

5. Dine your way around Italy at a pop-up dinner

Love Italian food? You’ll need to book a seat at this cool pop-up dinner experience then, taking place on July 19 and 20 at 24th St World Street Food inside Dusit Thani Dubai, guests will experience an eight-course menu that features mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes and basil, courgette carpiacci and pastrami Ragu. Seating is communal and there’s a limited number of seats for each evening, so be sure to book ahead.

6. Take a trip to Mykonos without leaving Dubai

Lively Greek restaurant Opa is bringing a taste of the Greek party island of Mykonos to Dubai with the launch of their brunch this Friday July 19. As well as a four-course menu of modern Greek dishes, guests can expect a live DJ and plenty of entertainment that’ll have you on the dancefloor before the Athenian pie is served. It’s priced at Dhs350 for the house package which includes cocktails spirits and wine, and Dhs395 inclusive of all of that, plus bubbles.

7. Check in for a luxe staycay for less

8. B-b-b-b-bounce around!

9. Check out a lively new party brunch

Love Parties are launching a new brunch at Lah Lah, the pan-Asian eatery at Zabeel House The Greens. The party brunch called F.L.O (for love of) brunch, promises a throwback, classic R&B sound track a three-course a la carte menu served up alongside free-flowing house drinks. Kicking off at the slightly later (and more civilised) time of 2pm, the three-hour party brunch will launch on Friday July 19. Soft drinks will be priced at Dhs299, the house package is Dhs375 and bubbles is Dhs450. In signature Love Parties style, guests can expect a brilliant after party post-brunch, with a drinks deal offering 5 drinks for Dhs150 from 5pm onwards.

10. Head to a brilliant new brunch after party

Disco meets house music at the new after-brunch party at Dubai’s coolest new hangout, The Shoreditch. Their ‘Summer of Love’ after party opens from 4pm every Friday, and everyone who arrives wearing their brunch wristband can enjoy two free drinks on arrival until 6pm. Ladies who arrive by 9pm can also enjoy a free drink, and there’s Dhs25 drinks for everyone from 4pm to 9pm.

11. Head to a theme park, be given a free flight

12. Work up a sweat at a cool new fitness studio

OOMO, which stands for origin of movement, is a homegrown fitness and lifestyle brand that offers four signature workouts, designed to help you achieve your goal. Split into two studios, in the XPLOD studio, you can choose between XPLOD Body and XPLOD Burn. The premise is simple: 40 seconds of exercise, 20 seconds of recovery, four different exercises per set, four sets. Recover. Repeat with a second set of exercises. 13. Treat yourself to a luxe spa day

The One and Only hotel is pretty wow-worthy, so you’d expect nothing less from its spa. This summer at the Guerlain Spa, you’ll get a 60-minute imperial relaxing massage, access to the spa adult’s pool and a three course lunch or afternoon tea for Dhs995. 14. Graze your way through a Saturday feast

Boutique City Walk hotel La Ville hosts a ‘Saturday Grazing Feast’ each week at Graze Gastro Grill. There’s a flow of dishes served to the table designed to be shared, with not only prime cuts of meat on offer, but a host of seafood and vegetarian options as well. It’s served from 1pm to 6pm, and you can pick any three hour slot in that time.

15. Soak up the sun with a free pool day
