Counting down to the weekend so you can fill it with fun stuff? We hear you!

From a happy hour deal to balancing your internal energies and preparing for Eid, there’s something to suit all tastes over the weekend here in the capital.

Here’s a list of things to do in Abu Dhabi this weekend:

1. Start off your weekend with happy hour

Looking for a top new happy hour in Abu Dhabi? The fifth floor at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Resort is a buzz-worthy watering hole in Abu Dhabi already, but this summer they’re offering an extended happy hour. The special promotion runs daily from 8pm to midnight and features a selection of cocktails, all for just Dhs20 each. Add in a DJ and skilled mixologists and there’s all the more reason to make the trip.

2. Take on a massive burrito

Taqado has unleashed a burrito weighing in at just under one kilogram (that’s a whopping 2.2 pounds!). Aptly named ‘The Beast’, this monster 12-inch tortilla is double-stuffed with all your favourite fillings. The burrito itself will set you back Dhs50 but you can also get The Beast with extras, which means it will come with loaded nachos and a drink for Dhs75. It’s available at all Taqado restaurants in the UAE.
