The dates were officially announced by the KHDA…

Parents, planning a travel escape this summer? You might want to take note of these dates before you book in those flight tickets.

We know the children are still at school, but The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) have already released dates for the start of the new semester for private schools.

As confirmed by the KHDA website, school will resume on Sunday, 1 September, 2019 after the summer break.

This means a total of eight weeks off for the children this summer.

Teachers, however take note. You will need to return to work the last week of August to prepare for the new term.

If you’re not planning to travel during the summer, you can always sign up your kids for one of these summer camps in Dubai to keep the kids entertained.

The KHDA have also announced the start and end dates for the winter season, so if you’re planning a vacation during the winter, take note.

Schools will be off from Sunday, December 15, 2019 to Thursday, January 9, 2020.

That’s another four weeks off for the children.

As for other public holidays, schools will communicate this information to the parents once confirmed dates have been declared by the UAE government authority.
