Lasting Impressions

This is a survey of work from the 1950s until today by Egyptian master Adam Henein. He is one of the most prominent postmodernist sculptors in the Arab world and uses simple lines to create sculptures and figures in a poetic manner. His subjects draw from his heritage and cultural background, whereas his form is timeless. This is a must-see show.

Art For All Collective

This is the first ever solo show of Abu Dhabi-born artist Sarah Almehairi. Photographs, maps, and memories from a summer visit to the US form the basis of this exhibition, which consists of both figurative and abstract works. The exhibition investigates not just what it means to be carving out an identity in a hyper-global world, but it also captures the artist’s own identity, readable along the walls like the lines of a poem.

Carbon 12, Warehouse 37, Alserkal Avenue, Street 8, Al Quoz 1, Dubai. Sat to Thurs, 11.30am to 7pm. Tel: (04) 340 6016.
