The annual Dubai Fitness Challenge is back for its third edition in 2019. Taking place from Friday October 18 to Saturday November 16, the initiative challenges Dubai residents of any age, gender, fitness or ability to do 30 minutes of exercise every day for 30 days to improve their health.

For 30 days the city will transform into one ginormous gym, running across two fitness villages and 10 community hubs, where there will be 40 events and over 5,000 fitness classes and activities during the month-long event.

We’ve rounded up some of the biggest events on the Dubai Fitness Challenge calendar, so go on, set yourself a challenge…

Tough Mudder

Tough Mudder has been announced as the main event for the Dubai Fitness Challenge. The endurance obstacle challenge is renowned worldwide so if you’ve ever fancied giving it a go, there’s no time like the present – but be prepared to get seriously dirty. It will take place at Dubai Festival City on Friday, November 15 and there’s four courses to choose from; Tough Mudder 5k (with 13 obstacles on a 5km route), Tough Mudder Classic (25 obstacles on a 10km route) or for the real fitness buffs, there’s Tougher Mudder (25 obstacles on a 10km route but timed for the fastest scores). If the little ones (aged 5 to 13) want to get involved, there’s a special Mini Mudder over a 1.6km route, so round up the troops and get a group together to compete.
