Everyone’s favourite Bavarian beer festival makes its way to Dubai every year in all kinds of shapes and sizes, but if you’re looking for authentic Oktoberfest celebrations – you won’t have to leave Dubai this year.
Oktoberfest M’City 2019 will take place in a chalet-style tent next to Sheikh Zayed Road at Grand Plaza Movenpick Media City and promises 18 days of traditional Munich-style festivities with space for up to 450 Oktoberfest fans.
Running from Wednesday October 23 to Saturday November 9, the Oktoberfest chalet will be free to enter each day, with an array of different deals and exciting entertainment on offer.
An authentic Bavarian menu curated by chef Alfred Zuberbuehler will feature traditional Bavarian appetizers and sausages, Bavarian Bratwurst and roasted knuckle, freshly baked pretzels, German apple strudel and, Mövenpick Ice cream.
As much about the beer and beverages as it is about the food, expect to sip on traditional beverages exclusively crafted by Munich breweries for Oktoberfest. There is also a selection of German wines and a variety of mixed drinks, soft drinks and juices available.
On Mondays, guys can put their muscles to the test with Munich Muscles’ games for men, while Tuesdays are dedicated to Damen Wiesn ladies’ night – where it’s ladies-only from 5pm to 8pm.
Fridays are all about the Big Bavarian Brunch, with an extensive spread of Bavarian bites washed down with free-flowing beverages priced at Dhs429 from 12.30pm to 4pm.
Promising plenty of fun for all the family, the Saturday Family brunch is a must-visit, with live entertainment, competitions, dedicated kids’ zones, cooking classes and dances all on offer for the little ones. Running from 12.30pm to 4pm, it’s Dhs429 for adults all-in, Dhs, Dhs90 for children under 12 with under 4s free.
