Another week starts again and without knowing how we got here, we’re into the month of October. There’s loads of fun things happening in Dubai this week, so rather than getting sad about the end of the weekend, get planning some new things to do.

Sunday October 6

1. Salsa into Sunday

Fancy trying a new activity? Why not give salsa a go? Every Sunday and Wednesday at Trader Vic’s at Madinat Jumeirah, you can do just that as they’re giving out free salsa lessons from 8.30pm. It’s a great alternative to shake up your gym routine and you might just find yourself a new hobby.

2. “This Is Why I’m Hot” rapper to perform at this cool Dubai club

When the party doesn’t stop just because it’s Sunday, cool Dubai club, Billionaire Mansion can be counted on to keep raising the roof. On Sunday, October 6 American rapper MIMS will be performing some of his tracks, including his arguably most famous tune ‘This Is Why I’m Hot’. If you needed some extra convincing, ladies get free drinks all night. Sorted.

3. Bag yourself a free coffee and croissant

There’s nothing like a caffeine hit to boost your day and a free one is always guaranteed to get you off to a good start. Every Monday throughout October, Le Petit Maison will be offering visitors a steaming hot coffee and freshly baked croissant between 8.30am and 10am.’Cafe croissant’ is a tradition in France where communities come together to connect over breakfast and the friendly offer is to mark the restaurant’s 9th birthday.

4. Make ‘date night’ a steak night

When it comes to cute date night locations, you can never go too far wrong with the relaxed vibes of Bluewaters Island for a casual dinner. Monday night is steak night at French restaurant Un Dimanche à Paris, where you can opt for two fillet tenderloins with two sauces, two side dishes, two side salads and a bottle of house wine for Dhs299. 5. Indulge in a little retail therapy alongside your ladies night

You might have heard of Bounty Beat’s healthy alternative to a standard Dubai ladies’ night – the easiest choice when you want a girly catch up but are trying to be good. Looking for a new sundowner spot? Torno Subito at W The Palm has got you covered. Fun, funky and charming, the restaurant oozes authentic Italian character, from its delicious dishes to cute cocktails. 8. Test your knowledge with a horror themed quiz

Cool Alpine restaurant, Publique have fast earned themselves a stellar reputation for their themed quiz nights and with Halloween fast approaching, they’ve got some awesome horror-themed quizzes lined up. On Wednesday, October 8, ‘Walking Dead’ fans will have the chance to test their knowledge, but trust us – make sure you’ve swotted up. Theres a Dhs100 minimum spend to take part.
