The Downtown hotel will be one of the tallest in the city when it opens next year…

Downtown Dubai’s next super tall hotel project, SLS, is now 73 per cent complete, according to its official Facebook page.

The 5-star, SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences will be one of the tallest hotels in the city when it opens in the third quarter of 2020, and will boast 254 expertly designed hotel rooms, 371 residential units, 321 hotel apartments.

But the jewel in this hotels crown will be two stunning rooftop infinity pools boasting 360-degree views of Dubai, where guests will be able to take a dip and soak up the city from an eye-watering 75 storeys high. Now that would make for a seriously good sunset swim snap.

Renders of the residential apartments have been released and they boast seriously impressive Burj Khalifa views. The ultra-modern pads start from Dhs997,000 for a studio, so you’ll have change from Dhs1million then.

The SLS Dubai will be the first SLS property in the Middle East when it opens next year, with SLS hotels currently found only in the US in locations including South Beach, Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. It will become one of the city’s tallest hotels upon opening.

Upon arrival at the luxury new hotel, guests will take an express elevator up to the Sky Lobby on the 71st floor to check in. For dining, guests will be able to choose between Italian restaurant Fi’lia (which will also serve as the all day dining restaurant) on level 70 and Carna, a steakhouse by award-winning Italian butcher Dario Cecchoni found on the 74th floor.

For relaxation, Ciel Spa, located on the 69th floor will feature 7 treatment rooms, steam rooms, experience showers, plunge pools, a salon and gym.

In addition, the property’s nightlife venue, Privilege, will be located on the rooftop featuring expansive interior lounge space that opens up directly onto the roof terraces and infinity pools.

SLS hotels is one arm of New-York based hospitality group sbe, who also own luxury hotel chain Mondrian. A glance at their website also shows that a Mondrian Dubai is in the pipeline.

We can’t wait to check in next year.
