Roads to and from The Walk at JBR will be affected until the end of December…

If you live around Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), you might want to listen up as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have announced some partial road closures to and from The Walk in JBR that might affect your travel time.

Affected road areas will be at the intersection of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street and Al Gharbi Street and are set to carry on until the end of December so if you live in or are planning on visiting JBR, make sure you allow extra time for travel.

The road closures are due to the RTA’s plans for a new pedestrian bridge project in the area, which began construction on Sunday October 6.

Announced on the RTA’s Twitter account, officials stated, “To users of the intersection of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud St. and Al Gharbi St., we inform you that some traffic directions and right exits to and from The, Walk, JBR will be partially closed.”

They also advised people affected by the road closures to use Al Yolat Street as an alternative route.

Additionally, if you’re heading from Al Gharbi Street to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, they recommend that you use Al Gharbi Street until the intersection of Al Marsa Street then turn right at Al Sayora Street to get to where you need to be.

Plan accordingly, folks…
