It’s good news for Dubai-based Skepta fans as the legendary British MC and grime rapper will be raising the (non-existent) roof at White Dubai on Thursday, October 10.

He’s performing as part of the club’s new UNDRGROUND night which is heavily influenced by the London grime scene. Fans can expect an energetic performance from the Mercury prize-winner who’s best-known for tracks including Shut Down, Too Many Men and Rolex Sweep.

The doors of the Dubai super club will open at 10pm with the party carrying on until 4am. Entry is priced from Dhs200 for guys however ladies will get free entry and complimentary drinks until 1am.

Skepta first burst onto the UK rap and grime scene back in 1999 and is still one of the biggest artists in the genre. Alongside rapping, he is also a producer, songwriter and music video director.

He won the Mercury prize for ‘Best Album of the Year’ for his fourth studio album Konnichiwa in 2016. Other wins include Best British Male at the NME’s, Best International Act: UK at the BET Awards and Best Video and Best Song at the MOBO Awards.

The last time he performed in Dubai was back in 2016 at the annual pop-up Sole DXB festival which celebrates footwear, art and lifestyle with participation from some massive sportswear brands like Adidas, Nike, Puma and Reebok.

White is one of Dubai’s most legendary super clubs, with massive pyrotechnics and some seriously epic entertainment. Previous A-listers to have taken to the stage include Jason Derulo, Tinie Tempah and, most recently, cake-throwing DJ Steve Aoki performed there on October 4.
