Park for free from Sunday, December 1 to Tuesday, December 3…

Many of us are looking forward to an extra-long weekend in celebration of the 48th UAE National Day and if you’re visiting people or places during the holidays, your parking might be free.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have announced that all paid parking zones will be free to use for three days from Sunday, December 1 to Tuesday, December 3.

The temporary exemption applies to all public parking except multi-level parking terminals. Paid parking will be reactivated on Wednesday, December 4 (when we’re back at work).

Be aware that there will be no free parking on Saturday, November 30.

As is normal during UAE national holidays, the timings of public transport have been altered to allow passengers more freedom.

Here’s the timings that you need to know…

Metro

December 1 to December 2: The Red Line will run from 5am to 1am (the following day) and the Green Line will run from 5.30am to 1am (the following day

Tram

The tram will run from 6am to 1am (the following day) on December 1 and 2.

Bus

Dubai’s main bus stations, such as Gold Souq, will operate from 4.25am to 00:29am (past midnight), with the Al Ghubaiba Station in service from 4.14am to 00:58am (past midnight). Sub-stations, such as Satwa, will start from 4.45am to 11.03pm. Route C01, however, will be operating around-the-clock.

Al Qusais Station will run bus service from 4.31am to 12.08am (past midnight). Al Quoz Industrial Station will be in operation from 5.05am to 11.35pm and Jebel Ali Station will operate from 4.58am and continue up to 11:30pm.

Metro feeder bus stations at Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail, and Etisalat will be in service from 5am to 1.10am (the following day). Timings of the feeder bus service will be in line with the timing of the metro timetables.
