Temperatures as low as 9.8 degrees celsius were recorded overnight…

The UAE faced heavy rain and cooler temperatures across the weekend – and we’ve not yet seen the last of the wintery weather.

From Saturday afternoon into the evening and overnight, heavy rain lashed parts of the UAE, with some areas of the emirates even experiencing light thunder last night.

And, we’ve not seen the last of the unsettled weather, as the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts that there’s more to come.

The NCM issued a weather warning this morning, Sunday December 8, advising residents to be aware during the harsher weather conditions.

Dubai Police also took to social media last night to advise drivers to be extra careful and reduce speeds while driving in the rain.

The heavy rain has also been accompanied by some cooler temperatures, with a temperature as low as 9.8 degrees celsius recorded overnight at 2.45am at Jebel Jais.

According to the weather forecast, it’s set to be like this for the next couple of days. In Dubai, highs of 28 degrees are expected today, while Abu Dhabi can expect temperatures to be between 18 and 22 degrees celsius.

Tomorrow, Monday December 9, clouds and rain are expected again across certain areas of the emirates, while the UAE weather looks to be stabilizing more as we head towards the weekend.
