4 new workout classes to try in Dubai
New studios, outdoor yoga classes, ladies’ nights, and free classes to check out…
Just in case you’re planning ahead on your resolution to ‘get fit,’ we’ve rounded up a few fun ways to get your sweat on.
BR Performance Studios
If you like your gyms as exclusive as your nightclubs, then this new DIFC gym’s sounds right up your street. Owned and run by Saudi-born Abdallah Alirez – the record holder for Saudi’s fastest Ironman time – BR Performance Studios bills itself as an exclusive training facility that delivers a tailor-made approach to fitness and wellness. Aside from PT sessions, there are a handful of group classes to choose from, including a swanky indoor cycling session that allows you to follow your own metrics as you sweat. Then there are the bootcamp sessions: Assault and Sculpt both taking place in a dimly lit bare-bones vault, where participants’ outputs are synced up to screens. Group classes start at Dhs120.
Dubai Media City X Core Direction
Dubai Media City has rolled out dusk destress yoga classes by the Media City Amphitheatre lake next to the mirror house every Sunday at 6pm, and folks working in Dubai Media City receive 50 per cent off. The gentle vinyasa yoga sessions are held in partnership with Core Direction (the team behind yoga At the Top, and yoga at The Green Planet) and you must book your spot on the Core Direction App. Classes cost Dhs105.
Three free sessions in the den DXB
Those that dare head inside The Den DXB will be put through their paces in a tailor-made workout created by founder Michael Sole. He’s pieced together a mix of strength, movement, and cardio training to ensure The Den covers all bases. First timers can redeem three free classes to use within one week.
