Sponsored: For a taste of traditional Vietnamese cuisine, head to Hoi An at Shangri-La Hotel Dubai…
A vacation to Vietnam may be off the table at the moment, but you can experience a true taste of the Southeast Asian hospitality at Hoi An at the award-winning luxury hotel, Shangri-La Hotel Dubai.
Hoi An has reopened and when you dine here, expect a warm welcome with friendly and welcoming smiles as people and hospitality are a precious treasure, reflective of the Vietnamese culture and values.
But the authenticity doesn’t end there. The restaurant has launched a brand new brunch concept called Khai Vi featuring mouthwatering Vietnamese delicacies prepared with a blend of authentic flavours to stimulate your tastebuds.
Go with loved ones and enjoy sharing platters of different creations for Dh275 including house beverages. If you’re the designated driver for the day, pay just Dhs175 for the soft package.
Here’s what to expect at the brunch
Khai Vi means ‘appetizer’ in Vietnamese and you expect to savour a number of small dishes including street food delicacies which are found all over Vietnam. The dishes are prepared using culinary traditions passed on from generation to generation.
And speaking of family, the food is served the long-standing family tradition way – on bamboo and lotus leaves placed in the middle of the dining table for loved ones to share and enjoy together.
Some of the signature dishes you can expect to see are Wagyu beef cheek, deep-friend prawn spring rolls, beef soup and banh khot which is a famous Vietnamese dish of miniature pancakes served with herbs and vegetables and spicy-sweet fish sauce for dipping. Yum!
To help cool off the palate, there’s delicious desserts including pandan ice cream, lemon sorbet and mango soup with coconut icecream.
