Sponsored: Two big brunches and fuego views…

Sultry Latin American restaurant, VaKaVa is back after a brief summer sojourn and it is positively glowing.

An outstretched arm of Conrad Abu Dhabi, VaKaVa sits surrounded by the cooling blue views of the Corniche coastline. Offering South American sophistication until late and a fiesta on the plates, it’s easy to see why the restaurant is such a popular pick with the capital’s good food fans.

So popular, in fact, it was your choice for Favourite Latin Restaurant in the What’s On Abu Dhabi Awards 2021.

Welcome to the carni-val

Ahhh… Latin America, the land of fire, forged between two great oceans, a festival of colour and culture that’s been craftily distilled by Chef Eber and his team, into Vakava’s dynamic collection of dining experiences. There are legitimate culinary adventures to be had here, take their handsome pair of weekend brunches for example.

On Fridays the menu for the Trip brunch is switched up every couple of weeks to keep things fresh, but you can expect starters such as house guacamole, salmon tiradito, wild mushroom flat bread, lamb anticucho and crispy prawns.

Mains are likely to involve choice cuts, such as that churrasco classic, Picanah steak served with potato and chimichurri; you’ll also find aromatic seafood servings — classic Chilean seabass served along with sides, a chipotle salad or potato tostone, and a selection of South American sweets to finish. Trip is navigated across a leisurely 2pm to 7pm timing, charged at Dhs295 for a soft package and Dhs495 for the house option.

The Saturday Barbocoa Brunch offers a similar collection of starters but goes rodizio (that bottomless Brazilian flame-to-table style of service) for its mains. Dine out on fire-cooked beef tenderloin, marinated chicken and sizzling prawns.

Unfolding between 1pm and 5pm every Saturday, the soft package is yours for Dhs325, house is Dhs450.

If you love it when they look after senoritas, Tuesday nights are for you. The Buena Onda Ladies’ Night offer nets chicas three drinks and one delicious Latin bar bit for just Dhs99. Available between 7pm and 11pm.

It’s clear that VaKaVa has that most exciting sort of Latin rhythm. And you know what they say about rhythm… eventually, it’s going to get you.
