The South African funnyman will be in town for one day only..

Comedian, television host and author, Trevor Noah will be heading to Sharjah, the cultural capital of the Arab World this month.

He will be at the 40th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair on November 12, 2021 at the Expo Centre Sharjah.

Trevor is a frequent visitors to the UAE having performed a number of times in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

At this popular book fair, visitors will be able to hear how the funnyman emerged from his local comedian community to take on his role as host of The Daily Show – an American late-night television which has earned him several rewards. ⠀

Noah has also penned a book called Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood which is a collection of short stories from his childhood growing up in Apartheid South Africa at a time when the union of his black Xhosa mother and white Swiss father, and Trevor’s very existence, was a criminal act.

During the session, Noah will share with the audience the inspiring story of his life and career that saw him shift from radio, acting and deejaying to become the most successful standup comic in his native South Africa.

About the Sharjah International Book Fair

Organised by the Sharjah Book Authority, the fair this year is held under the theme ‘There’s always a right book’.

More than 15 million books are on display throughout the 11-day celebration of literature, knowledge and culture, but there will be plenty of other things to see and enjoy including theatre shows, workshops and more.
