Sponsored: For long leisurely weekend breakfasts, family-friendly weekend lunches and picture-perfect sunset aperitivo you need to head to Boardwalk…

While Dubai restaurants often come and go, a unique handful truly stand the test of time. Overlooking the picturesque Dubai Creek, Boardwalk is among those Dubai institutions, having proudly celebrated its 27th birthday last month. A nostalgic spot that feels like a trip back in time in Dubai, it’s the kind of place where families can gather for leisurely weekend breakfasts that spill into the afternoon, and couples make a date with a sunset aperitivo, but linger long into the night.

Warm and welcoming with an al fresco feel similar to that of the French Riviera, the quaint Marina offers an altogether Mediterranean ambience: The breathtaking Dubai skyline backdrop is the only reminder here that your feet are firmly still in the emirates.

The menu is a homage to Mediterranean ingredients and flavours, laced with Italian and French influences, there’s a strong focus on the freshest seafood sourced locally from the market.

There’s no bad time to visit boardwalk, with tables dotted across the wooden terrace all gazing out towards the marina. Perfect for those that like a weekend lie-in, late breakfast begins at 11.30am on weekends, with a breakfast classic, fresh orange juice, dessert and coffee priced at Dhs98 per person. For a special occasion – or just to toast to the weekend in style – it can be topped up with unlimited mimosas from 11.30am to 1pm for an additional Dhs98. Looking for a mid-week treat? As the sun goes down, Boardwalk Aperitivo is the opportunity to soak in the sunset vibes with Italian bites and selected drinks for Dhs35 from 5pm to 7pm on weekdays.

For lunch or dinner, the menu features dishes such as fresh crudo from the raw bar, a dedicated lobster club and a fresh market where guests can pick their own fish. And while adults relax, little ones can book in for pizza making classes with Boardwalk’s culinary team. Weekend feasts are served up to the sounds of live music, while a dinner reservation any night of the week benefits from a romantic twinkling backdrop of the Dubai skyline all lit up.
