Is this DIFC hotspot Dubai's most glamorous new restaurant?
Hailing from Paris, Raspoutine promises to bring decadent French glamour to Gate Village…
In Paris, Raspoutine is one of the hottest tickets in town. Notoriously hard to get into, Raspoutine is as elusive as it is alluring, so we can’t wait to snag ourselves a reservation as it opens in Dubai on Friday September 30.
Replacing Caramel in Gate District Precinct Building 3, Raspoutine Dubai is a sensory treat. Stepping behind the grand wooden doors feels like stepping inside a sultry secret club. The colour palette is almost exclusively various shades of crimson and scarlet in crushed velvet and soft satins, interlaced with pops of opulent gold. The bold red shades are complimented by antique chandeliers, stained glass windows, old paintings, carved wood, and embroidered fabrics that give character and history to Dubai’s thoroughly futuristic financial centre.
While the original in Paris has a storied 50-year history operating exclusively a nightclub, at the Dubai venue the party starts with a decadent dinner. The festive restaurant follows the format of sister restaurant in Miami, with an indulgent menu paired with tantalising drinks and deep house sets.
On the menu, expect classic Parisian dishes with Russian flair served until 11.30pm. Once the clock strikes midnight, the lights are dimmed and Raspoutine transforms from a restaurant to a club, so alongside a party atmosphere when dining, it then becomes a go-to sport for late night revelry too. Reminiscent of the original Paris flagship, expect deep house tunes until the early hours.
