This new karting experience in Dubai plays just like Mario Kart

Racers at the ready…

The city’s first-ever live-action part-gaming part-karting experience is heading to Dubai on September 1, 2023. The go-kart experience (which looks very much like Mario Kart IRL) combines real-life racing with augmented reality. Chaos Karts, throws players into a virtual world, with real-life video game racing battles.

With no physical obstacles on the track and anti-collision technology drivers won’t need to wear helmets or driving suits. The experience is set to transport drivers worlds away as they compete against each other to win points and races.

Choose your weapon

Using state-of-the-art technology that produces real-life sensations and reactions, putting you in the driver’s seat for a ‘next level’ immersive kart gaming experience. Racers will be able to battle it out while their vehicle interacts with the virtual track, and challenging rivals may launch their way ahead. Just remember with great power (blue shells, last minute banana peels) comes the potential for ruining great friendships.

The high-energy thrill ride will have various races with different designs, complete with music pumping through the speakers, and ground-breaking in-game powerups and weapons that will have you battling it out to the finish line.

While we aren’t yet sure where in the city the karts will be racing, we can tell you that the race track will officially open Friday, September 1, 2023, and you can already sign up for your spot here. The price of the tickets are yet to be confirmed. The experience is set to be a fun-fuelled experience for those aged nine and above.
