This sounds dog-tastic…

There are a number of dog-friendly restaurants and cafes in Dubai you can visit with your pup, but this upcoming pet festival is one you both don’t want to miss.

This weekend, on Saturday, November 18 and 19, a huge festival called Woofstock is taking place at Dubai Islands Beach – the dreamy new dog-friendly public beach that opened earlier this year. The event is bought to you by @doggie_adventures_in_dubai and they know exactly what it takes to get those tails wagging, so you won’t be disappointed.

PS: The cool new spot and festival is dedicated to dogs (and dogs alone, so don’t try to sneak in your cats, bunnies, or iguanas).

What to expect at this dog-friendly festival in Dubai?

The event will be packed with workshops, family-friendly activities and doggy-related workshops, and market stalls and food trucks dishing out some teats for both humans and pets. There will even be live entertainment, and don’t worry – the music won’t be too loud, so your puppies ears are safe.

Plus, you can let your pup off the leash in the off-leash area where your pet can do its zoomies, and chase its own tail. And yes, they can even go swimming, and partake in dog-friendly water sport activities, so don’t forget the towels.

For your two-legged little ones, there is a kids zone packed with fun inflatables, face painting, arts & crafts and much more.

Thinking of adding to your family tree? Those on the look out for a furry permanent family member will be thrilled to know there will be rescue organizations at the venue who will help you get the process started.

The event runs the entire day from 8am to 10pm. There’s no ticket price as such but you will need to pay Dhs50 to get your pup assessed at the door. But do note, 50 per cent of this fee will go towards animals in need who are waiting for their fur-ever homes at participating rescue organizations.

Do note, the venue reserves the right to prevent entry for pups who are deemed unsafe (and the same goes for the humans, too).
