Completion date revealed: Bridge connecting Dubai Harbour and Sheikh Zayed Road
Those living in Dubai Harbour will know exactly what we’re talking about
If you’ve been in Dubai Marina at pretty much any point in the day in the last 5 years, you’ll know why it’s famous for heavy traffic. However, residents can now rejoice, we have an update on the new bridge heading to Dubai Harbour and you won’t have to wait long to use it.
The new bridge will link Sheikh Zayed Road with Dubai Harbour and will significantly reduce traffic in the Marina and Media City. The bridge is costing Dhs431 million and it will have two lanes in each direction. It’s also 1.5km long and will have a capacity of 6,000 vehicles per hour in bothe directions.

However we knew all of this information when it was announced by RTA but there’s now an update. According to a sign situated next to the bridge in Dubai Harbour, the construction is 85% complete and it will be ready for use in August 2026. The notice also states that it’s cutting travel time from 20 minutes to 3 minutes to Sheikh Zayed Road.

It also states on the road sign for passersby: “This bridge is taking shape for the benefit of the community, enabling faster, smoother access and supporting long-term growth.”
