More unstable weather is heading for the UAE
Brace yourselves for rain, thunder and lightning…
Just two weeks after the UAE was lashed by a freak rainstorm that saw the cancellation of several high-profile events, forecasters are warning that more severe weather is in store.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) says convective clouds are expected to form over eastern and western areas from Sunday afternoon, possibly bringing rain in the evening.

On Monday, parts of the country can expect rainfall of different intensities, and even thunder and lightning in some areas. The NCM warned there could be flooding in some eastern and northern valleys.
Weather.com is warning of scattered thunderstorms in Dubai on Sunday, with a high of 32 degrees Celsius, and scattered showers on Monday, with a high of 26C.
The last rainstorm on November 11 saw 49.4mm of rain – eight months’ worth – in just one hour between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, The National reported.
In Abu Dhabi, a Dua Lipa concert in celebration of the Louvre Abu Dhabi’s first birthday had to be cancelled at the last minute, while in Dubai, the Pakistan vs New Zealand decider match in the 3rd ODI series was called off mid-play.
