There’s an MMA fight night on at the du Forum
Love MMA? Head to Yas tonight. Local fitness club Cobra Fitness is hosting Phoenix 6, the latest edition of the Middle East’s leading MMA competition, the Phoenix Fighting Championship. Locally-based fighters taking part include Brazil’s Luana De Souza Jaures Dea, also known as The Crazy Cameroonian. There’s also the small matter of a MMA Middleweight World Title clash between Mohammad Karaki and Salam Eddine Dekhissi.

Check out a new exhibition at the Louvre
Louvre Abu Dhabi has joined forces with the National library of France for its latest exhibition that examines the history of how humanity has viewed planet Earth as a sphere. Globes: Visions Of The World features more than 40 globes and spheres, some of which date back 2,500 years. In total, the exhibition features 160 works from France’s Bibliothèque nationale.

Aussie beef at Southern Sun
The What’s On Award-winning steakhouse The Foundry has a one-off menu planned for lovers of Australian beef. The outlet has joined forces with Classic Fine Food & Stanbroke, an Aussie beef pastoral company, and on the night you can try cuts, including Sanchok and Augustus.

Fashion meets art in Al Ain
The Garden City is hosting an exhibition of fashion illustrations over the next few months. Lines And Stitches features designs by UAE artists and inside you’ll find 21 pieces, along with eight art installations. There will also be workshops, hosted by fashion designers and illustrators from the UAE, every Saturday while the exhibition is running.

A Quiet Place is in cinemas from today
Real-life couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt team up as a married couple whose family lives in a silent woodland retreat – they communicate with sign language, walk on sand paths and play Monopoly with knitted tokens. See Serbian art at Breakfast In Sand
Le Royal Méridien has joined forces with Abu Dhabi Art Hub for Breakfast In Sand, an exhibition featuring four Serbian artists. The talents created pieces for the Art Hub’s Serbian Art Month back in February and the exhibition isin conjunction with the Serbian Embassy in the UAE. The four artists displaying are Milica Babovic, Ana Golovic, Leila Vujovic and Ivana Zivic. The pieces are inspired by their time in the UAE.

New exhibition at Warehouse421
For the past two years, UAE art has been making waves in Italy, and has been exhibited at the renowned Venice Biennale, an arts organisation based in the city. Now, those works are on display at Warehouse421 until June.

Swim and fight pollution on Saadiyat

Seek out The New Identity
Etihad Modern Art Gallery’s latest exhibition The New Identity features an all-female cast of young UAE-based artists. Talents displaying in the exhibition include Emirati analogue photographer Amira Al Awadhi and Palestinian-Swedish rising star Alaa Mahmoud Alqedra, who sculpts and creates installations and drawings using household items such as kitchen tools and Lego.
