What’s On has details on the new acts announced to perform at Beats on the Beach, including soul singer Jhené Aiko and AcE on Friday, Nov 27.

More acts have been announced to perform at Beats on the Beach during Race Weekend including Jhené Aiko and DJ Trey “AcE” Smith, son of Hollywood actor Will Smith.

Performing for free on the Corniche Beach, the hip-hop singer Aiko is probably best know for her collaborations with Big Sean, Drake and Kanye West. Most recently, she’s been featured on the Omarion song “Post to Be” along with Chris Brown.

That said, Aiko’s debut EP album Sail Out saw her received two Grammy nominations in 2015 for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best R&B Song for her single, “The Worst.” She was also nominated for a Grammy this year for a song she was featured on with rapper Common.

It should come as no surprise that she will perform alongside rapper J.Cole on Friday, as she was a special guest on his Forest Hills Drive Tour earlier this year.

Joining her onstage is DJ Trey “AcE” Smith. Son of Hollywood royalty, the DJ/producer will be performing his latest single, “Blame it on Beyonce” on the night. While there’s no telling if the famous family will also be in attendance on the night, Will and Jada were spotted as recently as last month in Dubai.

Other acts performing on Friday include Carly & the Reda Mafia, Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury and homegrown UAE singer Omar Al Marzooqi.

The concerts on the Corniche beach are free and will be hosted from Thursday, November 26 to Saturday, November 28. Doors open at 6.30pm. For more information about the rest of the line-up visit: yasalam.ae
