Take the stairs at Zayed Sports City

Huff and puff up the steps of the Zayed Sports City Stadium at TrainZSC. The vertical training sessions will see you run/climb stairs to build muscle and increase your cardiovascular strength. The stadium’s track will also be open to the public for those looking to run. There’s a dedicated children’s area and Daman will provide free health checks on the night. Participants must register beforehand, either online or at the venue on the day.

Eat brunch at sundown

Who said brunch has to start at lunchtime? Caramel Restaurant has kicked off their weekend brunch, which goes from 7pm to 10pm in the evening. The menu includes everything from chicken lettuce bites with shitake mushrooms and hoisin sauce, chicken lollipops served buffalo style with blue cheese and mini Kobe beef sliders and mini truffled fish and chips.

Eat from a new menu

Gobble up the tastes of summer with a new seasonal menu at Aussie outpost Jones the Grocer. The Beach Rotana is taking 50 per cent off the bill at its signature restaurants during July, with each restaurant offering the promotion on a different night. Last chance to go to the Liwa Date Festival

There’s a good chance you’ve eaten your fare share of dates during Ramadan, but if you want to try a few more, then head to the Liwa Date Festival. Hosted in the Western Region until today, the festival expects to attract some 70,000 visitors. As well as buying dates and associated products, visitors can also check out a market selling traditional Emirati goods.
