Here’s what went down at the What's On Lock In: Vida Creek Harbour
We came. We saw. We brunched and boxed. The second ever What’s On Lock In was the staycation of our dreams…
The weekend-long party stuffed full of food, drinks, and activities blew through Dubai’s newest island development, packing a season’s worth of memories into one weekend at the glorious Vida Creek Harbour. Here’s a taste of the action for those who weren’t lucky enough to score a room.
FRIDAY – November 22
Guests were greeted at check-in and directed to the all-important Orientation Room for snacks, coffee, and free treatments.
Top barbers Bristles and Mane were offering their male grooming services; hip new Alserkal Salon Chalk was providing free hair braiding; there was a queue running out the door for the make-up specialists from Glowout&go; and lush stationery brand Lala Land was giving away gorgeous goodies. For those brave enough (read: almost everybody!), piercing specialists KYRAcare went to work on Lock In guests providing free piercing services all morning.
Then it was onto brunch. Vida Creek Harbour curated a very special one-day-only barbecue brunch setting up shop near to the hotel’s gorgeous poolside deck. Guests could pick up colourful bento boxes, stuff them with fresh salads and mezze, before heading to the outdoor barbecue for grilled meats and veggies. And of course, there were enough drinks available to keep everyone thoroughly refreshed…
After that, it was time to head to the Courtyard Lounge for sundowners, shisha, more free drinks and chillout vibes. And just before bed, thanks to our mates at JOMO burgers, all guests were handed free vegan burgers and fries.
SATURDAY – November 23
A couple hours later, all of the night owls transitioned into early birds. (Well, most of them, anyway). Overnight, the terrace had been transformed into a boxing gym thanks to MEFITPRO, and legendary Dubai trainer Brian Cochrane, owner of boxing studio UNDERDOGBOXN, put guests through their paces during a killer morning workout.
A farewell buffet breakfast at the Vida Hotel’s Courtyard Lounge sent guests back to the real world with a full stomach – and a phone full of photos to show off to everyone come Sunday. Be sure to check out our facebook page for a handful of those snaps.
