In the middle of the searing summer heat, an on-demand ice scream service sounds like the perfect remedy. Luckily – for one day at least – Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and 130 other cities around the world will have access to this novel service.

On Friday 18 July, Uber, the transportation network company, is offering people the chance to use its app to summon an ice cream truck to their location, provided they purchase a minimum number of treats.

Between 7pm to midnight, trucks will be roaming around Dubai and Abu Dhabi delivering ice creams straight to your location for Dhs.100 per five pieces of 100% natural gelato on sticks.
