Thomas Woodgate, Group Content Director

New to Dubai and treating the city like a blank canvas, Thomas is always out and about in search of the next must-try spot, hidden gem or weekend plan. Equally at home over a fine-dining degustation as he is queuing up for a top-tier burger, fried chicken or shawarma, his recommendations span the full spectrum (and yes, he will have an opinion on all of them). When he’s not exploring, you’ll likely find him being firmly overruled by his two young children, with family life dictating the agenda. Oh, and a proper roast… that’s a non-negotiable for Thomas.

Madie Murphy, Deputy Editor

For Madie, there’s no in-between, she’s either glammed to the nines and trying out Dubai’s fanciest restaurant or she’s in her pyjamas, on her couch, watching Friends with her dog. A self-proclaimed expert in deal-finding, Madie is always on the hunt for a bargain.

A reporter on the hunt for the next big arts and culture event, gallery or museum opening, the next big must-see performance, and more. Ask Aarti about any of these related topics in the UAE and she can probably talk your ear off – or you’ll find her zooming off to learn more about it. Oh, and speaking of zooming… she’s a recent Formula 1 fan and while she hates the loud sounds of the club, she loves the roar out on the circuit.

Sammi strikes the perfect balance between glam and laid-back, bringing energy and curiosity to everything she does. She’s always exploring the latest go-to spots across Dubai, with a particular love for fine dining. When she’s not out and about, you’ll find her curled up with her 2 cats and a bowl of popcorn, cheering on a rugby match or F1 race—or cruising with the music up, singing her heart out to every singalong.
