Etihad unveils stunning new lounges at Abu Dhabi's Terminal A
Complete with Constellation bar, Armani Casa day beds, and a games room…
Abu Dhabi’s new Terminal A, also known as Midfield Terminal, is the city’s next-level aviation hub. Welcoming passengers since the start of November, this month will see some 28 airlines transition into the terminal. Among them, is national airline Etihad, now officially operating out of the swanky new Terminal A.
And if you’re flying Etihad soon, then you’ll want to check out the airline’s seriously luxe new lounges.
Occupying three floors between Piers C and D on the terminal’s north side, there’s both a First and Business Class lounge, ensuring travellers can make the most of their pre-flight time with a range of top amenities. There’s dining options, places to relax and be entertained, plus the piece de resistance – a beautiful Constellation Bar within the top floor Roof Lounge.
Let’s get down to Business
The Business lounge is free to access for first and business passengers, as well as Etihad Guest members with an eligible tier status. Economy passengers who don’t qualify with Etihad Guest can purchase access to the business lounge, subject to availability.
Once inside, there’s plenty to keep travellers of all ages and travelling styles busy. Watch all the on-runway action from the East and West Study, or chill out in the relaxation rooms, each a private space complete with day bed, Armani Casa furnishings, and access to a collection of shower suites for those wishing to refresh before flying.
Looking for something a little more lively? Head to the games room, where table football, air hockey and arcade games invite you to unleash your competitive streak. There’s even a family room designed with young travellers in mind, filled with lots of games, toys and books that offer endless hours of fun.
For drinking and dining, relaxed all-day dining can be found at Liwan, where Middle Eastern and international fare is presented at live cooking stations. Lighter snacks can be found at multiple stations throughout the lounge too.
A more upscale experience awaits at the Roof Lounge, show-stoppingly lit with Panora, a 172-piece glass lighting structure. Under this twinkling piece, guests can sip on a variety of cocktails, wines and spirits while enjoying an international buffet of hot and cold dishes.
First class amenities
In the exclusive First lounge, accessible via a private elevator, a rooftop haven of premium dining awaits. There’s an a la carte menu that can be paired with a boutique wine selection, and a separate parlour where first class passengers can enjoy pastries, desserts and a signature tea experience in an elegant setting.
Looking to get some much-needed shut-eye? Then book one of the private suites, which are complimentary for guests flying in The Residence and available for booking by all other First class lounge guests.
About Terminal A
The new terminal covers some 742,000 square metres of built-up area, making it one of the world’s largest airport terminals.
With all that extra space comes plenty of additional capacity to welcome visitors to the UAE capital. Once fully operational, it’s equipped to handle some 45 million passengers annually, operating 79 aircrafts at any given time – connecting even more of the world with Abu Dhabi.
